Task 3 是一道综合口语题。所以它不光考口语表达能力也间接的考查了考生的阅读和听力的能力。出题的形式是屏幕首先会给你一段短文,阅读时间是45s,在读的过程中,我们要做精简的记下要点。
45s的阅读时间结束后,你会听到一段对话,内容是两个学生来讨论短文内容。这道题的准备时间,其中也就是在对话过后给你的空白时间是30s,要求作答时间是一分钟,今天我们主要来讲这道题的短文部分,学习如何拆分题,和归纳哪些必要信息。
形式: 阅读短文(45s) 听一段短对话 30s的准备时间过后,作答时间1min所有Task 3 的题在阅读部分,我们都要找三个信息点,也是在笔记上应该体现出的三个点:
1、学校做出的一个决定,或是学生做的一个提议
2、理由1
3、理由2
例题:Sculpture courses to be discontinued
University administrators announced yesterday that the sculpture program, a division of the art department, will be eliminated. "The main reason is a lack of student interest," reported on administrator. "Although the number of art students has increased, fewer and fewer art majors are taking sculpture classes," Furthermore, the department's only sculpture professor is retiring this year. "Given the art department's limited budget," the administrator explained. "It just doesn't make sense to hire a new full-time professor to teach sculpture for only a handful of students."
这道题中三个要点的定位:
1、决定或提议的位置:通常是段落开篇,即本文首句
2、理由1:从the main reason到furthermore
3、理由2:furthermore 到结尾
笔记所以我们边读的时候便要记下这些信息:
Sculpt class would be elimi (plan)
Fewer stu taking (R1)
Prof retire (R2)

之后我们可以对照这三行笔记,试着复述一下短文:
According to the reading text, the university administrators decided to eliminate the sculpture class because there were fewer students attending it and the professor who taught this course was going to retire later this year.
注意事项:1、短文部分,要带着目的去读,并不是所有题都是学院的决定,有一部分题是学生不满现状而做出的提议。个别题开篇会介绍背景信息和学校现状,这是干扰,后面的决议或提议才是我们的得分点。
2、记笔记一定要分行和精简,使条理更清楚,为节省时间,我们也没必要把每个词都写全。比如student, 记stu, professor, 记prof. 只要看得懂就好。
