Once upon a time,there was an oldfarmerwho planted a plot of rice.
从前，有个农夫，种了稻苗后，便希望早日收成。
After he planted theseedlings,every day he went to the field to watch the seedlings grow.
之后他每天到稻田看稻苗，希望稻苗快点成长。
He saw the young shootsbreakthrough the soil and grow taller each day,but still,he thought they were growing too slowly.
他看着秧苗从种子中钻出，每天长高一点，觉得秧苗长得太慢了。
Eventually he gotimpatientwith the young plants and suddenly he hit upon an idea that one by one,he pulled up the young plants by half an inch.
渐渐他失去了耐心，想来想去，终于想出了一个办法，他把秧苗都拔高了几分。
The next early morning,the young man couldn't tocheckhis "achievement",but he was heart-broken to see all the pulled-upseedlingsdying.
第二天早上，这个农夫迫不及待地去稻田看他的成果，结果秧苗全部都枯萎了。
