The life cycle of a silkworm starts fromone of the many eggslaidby a mothon mulberry leaves. It takes 10 days for the eggs tohatchinto silkwormlarvae, which gradually grow bigger bynibblingthe mulberry leaves. This growing process lasts for 4-6 weeks, before the larvae start to produce silk threads and form cocoons thatwrap themselves inside. The cocoons will be completed in 3-8 days, and an adult moth will break out from each cocoon after 16 days, starting a new life cycle of the silkworm.
