English study in college differs from that in middle school a lot. In middle school, we put much attention on grammar and word pronunciation from the very beginning and concentrate on spelling and reciting a lot. However, in college we don't focus on those that are taught in middle school but to attach importance to speaking, listening and comprehension.We spend much time practicing our oral English to improve sentence fluency and language intonation by talking with a foreigner constantly. Meanwhile,to enlarge our vocabulary is another important thing in college.We are supposed to grasp as many words as possible in order to meet the great demands of our future work.
All in all, college time is a crucial period to people’s English study, so we have to value this period a lot and never give up English learning.
