Which one of the following values is the most important to share with a young child(5-10 years old)?
1.being helpful
2.Being honest
3.Being well organized
The question of what kind of values or qualities that kids should develop has never failed to attract the attention from parents, educators and researchers. Some argue that honesty is the most important quality that kids should have while others believe being helpful is should be the top priority of kids. However, I, personally, believe that organization skill is the most decisive skill that kids cannot live without.
First off, excellent organization skill can help kids to achieve better academic performance in school. Young children ranging from 5 to 10 years old lack of certain skills to manage their time effectively, thus it is not surprising to see that lots of children tend to put thing off and often procrastinate quite when it comes to their assignment. In fact, children are under lots of academic pressure in primary school. For instance, they have to write book report, do experiment in the lab, go on field trip organized by the school and in some cases kids have to attend piano class, dancing class and taekwondo class after regular class session in school. If kids develop good time management skill and organization skills, they will listen more attentively during class and finish their assignment on-time after, thus they learn more productively.

Additionally, good organizational skills can be beneficial to kids’ future when they pursue further study in high school and university and even when they eventually become professionals. When kids enter high school and university, they will enjoy better chances to get involved in social activities like community service, organizing a school play and fund raising for a local charity. Students who have organization skills tend to be more successful organizing these activities than those who don't. For example, when organizing a school play, the student direct is responsible for lots of issues like selecting the play, choosing the cast and designing the set. When having to face with multiple responsibilities, students who don't have organization skill will be less effective than those those have. It is hard to imagine that a student who lack of organization skills can manage to present a nice school play to the audience. Moreover, research conducted by National Society of Developmental Psychologists shows that students who developed organizational skills in their formative years are more likely to get better compensation and benefits, thus having a more promising career than those who didn't.
In conclusion, with the above careful analysis, we can safely draw the conclusion that be well organized is the most important value that should be shared with kids, since kids who have organizational skills can be successful in academic performance, social activities and future career.
