1. 去睡觉不是go to sleep,而是go to bed;
go to sleep是睡着了,入睡的意思。去睡觉只是到床上了,不一定就睡着了。这个短语其实很简单,但是很多考生一紧张起来就直接脱口而出go to sleep了。
2. 睡过头不是sleepover而是oversleep;
sleep over(sleepover是名词,分开是动词短语)是在别人家过夜的意思。
如:
I overslept and was late for school again.
我又迟到了,因为睡过头了。
3. 起得晚、睡懒觉是sleeplate,不是“睡得晚”的意思。
如:
I usually sleep late on weekends.
周六我通常会睡懒觉。

4. 赖床是sleep in,不是stay in bed,
stay in bed 只是呆在床上。
如:
I get a chance to sleep in at the weekend. 我在周末才有机会睡个懒觉。
5. 回笼觉是unprotected sleep
(因为睡回笼觉时闹钟一般都关了)
如:
I am lucky that I didn't miss my final exam after having 30 minutes of unprotected sleep.

美容觉是get beauty sleep
如:
You look tired. You should get some beauty sleep.
你看起来气色不好,得睡个美容觉。
7. 补觉是catch up on sleep
(catch up on:补做;赶做)
如:
I won't go out this weekend, I need to catch up on some sleep.
这周末我不出去了,得补觉。
8. 早睡早起是keep early hours
如:
Keeping early hours is a good way to stay healthy.
早睡早起身体好。

9. 熬夜是stay up late
如:
He was a night owl and used to stay up late.
他以前是个夜猫子,常常熬夜。
10. 失眠了是 be/stay/keep up/awake all night
如:
I was up all night.
