01干好分内工作
I know that this is stating the obvious but it is the starting point. For promotion it is a necessary but not a sufficient requirement that you perform your current duties diligently. Many people think that this is all they need to do and that the rewards, recognition and promotion will follow.Corporate life is not ‘fair’ in this sense. Many people do great work and are passed over. You need toexcel in your current role and do much more to climb the ladder.
不言而喻,这是你的起点。要升职,就有必要干好分内之事,不过仅仅勤勉于眼下的工作也是不够的。很多人认为做好分内事就是他们所有的工作,回报、认同和升职就会随之而来。在这个意义上来说,公司生活是不“公平”的。很多人工作做得不错,但都被忽略了。你需要在你现有的角色中做得足够出色,然后做更多事情来攀登晋升的阶梯。
02受人瞩目
One of the best ways to be promoted is if a senior manager in another dement wants you. But this can only happen if they are aware of you. So you have to find ways to get in front of other people, icularly senior people, in a way that displays your good qualities and makes you memorable.
较好的晋升办法之一是,其他部门的经理要你过去工作。不过这种情况只有在他们注意到你时才会发生。所以,你必须想办法在人群中表现,尤其是在高层人士面前,你可以展示自己的优点,使他人对你印象深刻。
03自愿参加
If someone is needed to present a proposal on behalf of your dement, volunteer. If members are needed for a cross-demental task force, volunteer. If the social committee want someone to help organize the staff barbecue, volunteer. Take on additional responsibilities both inside and outside your dement. This shows that you are willing to get involved and it gets you noticed.
如果需要有人代表部门展示议案,那么请毛遂自荐。如果需要有人参加跨部门任务,那么请主动出列。如果社会会要人组织员工烧烤,那么也请自愿参加。担起分内和分外的工作。此举可突显你的合群,也能吸引他人眼球。
04与领导沟通
Make sure that your boss and your boss’s boss know that you are keen to be promoted. Do not threaten or demand. Have a discussion where you ask the question, ‘What do I have to do to get promoted?’ Develop a plan. Senior managers understand ambition and there is nothing wrong with being ambitious so make sure that they understand your goals.
要让你的上司,和你上司的上司知道你想升职的强烈愿望,但不要向他们提出要求,甚至威胁他们。问出你的问题,和上司交流,“我要做什么才能升职?”然后展开规划。高层人士能理解雄心壮志的想法,有志向也没什么错,所以你要确保他们知道你的目标。
05友好共事
Many people who are technically proficient and excellent at task management do not get promoted because they lack people skills. Be aware of how you are perceived. Ask for feedback. It is not a question of popularity; it is more about communication, trust and dependability. Try not to make enemies. Find ways to work effectively with other people and you are more likely to be seen as ‘management material’.
很多人技术精湛、工作突出,但没有获得晋升,因为他们缺少交际能力。弄清楚你再别人眼中的形象。征求别人对你的反馈。这不是你受不受欢迎的问题;更多的是交际、信任和可靠的问题。别树敌。想办法和同事一起高效工作,这样你就更可能被当做是“管理人才”。
06提建议
Make positive, constructive suggestions for how things could be done better. Most managers (though not all) welcome this and it will be signal that you are someone who can think about bigger issues. It shows that you welcome rather than fear change.

07及时调整岗位
Look for ways to broaden your experience. If you cannot move up in your area then consider moving across into a different area of the business at the same level so that you can learn new skills and make new contacts.

08制定计划
Set yourself goals for advancement and measure progress against them. If you need to acquire certain skills or experiences then plan to do so. If you are turned down for promotion, ask why. If you cannot meet your plan in your current organization or if you can make no more progress or if you no longer enjoy the work then look elsewhere. There are plenty of opportunities for ambitious people who work hard and are keen to learn.
定下前进的目标,检查自己的进度。如果要获取某些特定技术或经验,那就计划着去做。如果你的升职请求被拒绝,问问为什么。如果在现有的企业不能实现计划,如果进度停止不前,如果不再喜欢现有工作,那就另谋高就。对于那些工作卖力、乐于学习的有志之士来说,机会多多。
